This automatic cat feeder turned out much better than I had hoped.
Positives:
– not too loud, but loud enough for the cat to get used to the sound and come running when it fills the food
– The portion size is about right. We use small dry pieces cat food (Nulo) and it put out about 1/8 cup per single portion which was perfect for our cat. But it can easily be adjusted to 12x or 1-1/2 cup serving size.
– You can set as many feedings at whatever time you want during the day. No limits that I have seen. Incredible flexibility
– I am really pleased that I can use the Tuya App to remotely feed the cat if I want to, in addition to using the timed schedule. I put a wi-fi camera pointed at the feeder just to make sure that no problems happen, and if it does, I can add another feeding
– The feeder looks nice and is not an eye sore.
Negatives:
– I wish the serving size was even a bit smaller, but can live with the 1/8 cup minimum amount
– It took our cat a few feedings before she trusted it, but now she eats from it just like her regular bowl

This really is a great cat feeder! I’ve had it about 3 weeks now and I have no complaints. It is working perfectly.
My cat has an issue with eating way too fast. I needed a feeder that would dispense no more than a tablespoon per portion, yet allow enough feeding events for him to get a daily total of just under 3/4 cup of kibble. Most of the feeders I looked at only feed 6 times per day but that would have been too much food at one time. This one allows 8 separate feeding times per day and the portion size is one tablespoon (you can set the number of portions from 1 – 30). Purrfect. He now gets 4 tablespoons in the morning and 6 tablespoons in the evening. Mealtimes are spaced out over a couple hours.
Do your own measuring and don’t rely too much on the portion chart on the Amazon product page. It’s an estimate but really depends on the size kibble. I’m using Meow Mix tender centers. FYI, you need to cycle the unit with the manual feed button 3 – 4 times before food drops for the first use.
Everything about the feeder was easy to set up and program. The instructions were decent. It dispenses smoothly. I haven’t had a single problem, and trust me, my cat would let me know if he wasn’t happy.
The food hopper lid closes securely. It has a rubber gasket to keep food sealed and a small compartment for a desiccant pack. It all disassembles easily for cleaning. The quality looks pretty good, I am quite impressed especially given the reasonable price.
I don’t use the food tray that came with it only because the angle of it bunches up the food in one spot. His old food dish works just fine. You can even use one of those slow feeder bowls if you need to slow yours down even more.
I’m really glad I bought this feeder, it’s worked out very well. Kitty’s happy too.
**UPDATE**
It’s been a year since my purchase and this feeder still rocks! It has given me (and more importantly, my kitty) no problems whatsoever. If you’re on the fence, know that at least per my experience it has lasted this long, working flawlessly.
Also, in that time I’ve experienced a few power outages, but noticed that the feeding schedule and clock remains intact. I don’t use the D-cell back-up batteries in mine, so it must have some button-type battery to maintain the program memory and clock, a feature I didn’t even know about and a little more peace of mind. I’m still really impressed with this feeder, especially at the price. Even if it died tomorrow, I’d strongly consider purchasing another to replace it.

I originally got this for a weekend vacation but also because I was tired of my boyfriend and I asking each other if one of us fed that cats before or after work and not remembering/ double feeding them every time they acted a little hungry (I’m sure my bf did remember correctly I just fall for the baby cry and that’s why my big boy is fat) I love that I could set a personal voice call for the food! My cats hear it say “hungry? Food?” And start RUNNING! And i can set it however many times I want every day. Neato! I do wish each spin gave a bit more food, but I suppose that makes it good for all life stages, and if you have a cat that inhales food, you could set it to go off every two minutes or something to slow them down. It holds a LOT, But I have three cats so, it goes by fast. I should definitely get another one!! Super easy to use it comes out together and I haven’t needed to clean it yet because it literally stays so clean? Only had it like a couple weeks though so. I can’t imagine with dry food that I’d need to that often besides the bowl but it seems easy enough to clean the inside. My cats are smart and tried touching the buttons. They can’t press them in thankfully, but it’s nice that it locks for a 3 second hold on a specific button so they can’t auto feed themselves if they somehow gain opposable thumbs one day. Seems sturdy enough too. But it’s only for dry food! No liquid. It’s interesting because now they seem to share more fairly instead of my big boy eating the girls food. He skips lunch so they can have it together and always leaves a little for them the other two meals (yes they eat three times a day even if I don’t) I don’t really know how many days it holds, but I know each cat eats a a little less than a cup per day and today filled it halfway with like 9 cups so I’d say a solid week for 3 cats. That’s pretty good. I’d never leave my babies for that long, but, if it’s nice to know if I got stranded on Mount Everest for 48 hours they’d be fine.
